Overview
Gaia runs on Shopify, so the venue and the shop sit in one place. The site covers the café and bar, runs an online store with UK delivery and click and collect, lists workshops and events through OutSavvy, and keeps the seasonal drinks menu easy for the team to update.
Strategy
Gaia is two businesses at once, a place to visit and a brand to buy from, and the risk was a site that served one and neglected the other. We gave each a clear route from the homepage, so someone booking onto a workshop and someone buying a candle never cross wires. Because the team handles the day to day, we set the shop and menus up to be managed in house, without needing us for routine changes.
Impact
The product range now reaches people who may never visit Folkestone, which turns a local venue into a shop with national reach. The team manages the store and its events themselves, so the site keeps pace with the business.
